In
preparing a damage report for your vehicle, we create the
most comprehensive estimate we can based on apparent damages.
Any shop can write an estimate for a lower price by excluding
damages and leaving out parts. Not only is there a difference
between shops and the estimates they write, but also a difference
in the way the vehicle is repaired. An improper repair can
decrease the value and jeopardize the safety of your vehicle.
If you are not sure why an estimate is different from another
you have received, ask a shop manager to explain the difference
to you.
Our
computerized estimating system contains a database on just
about every vehicle make and model that is on the road today.
It is updated monthly to include new vehicles and recent changes
to existing cars and SUV's. The database allows us to see
all parts available for a vehicle, and the frame structure
the car is built on. This expedites repairs by allowing quick
access to part numbers for easier ordering and the ability
to view a section of a vehicle with the click of a computer
mouse. Integrated with the estimating system is a digital
imaging program that allows for digital photos to be imported
into a customer's file for future reference.
A
little piece of advice…an insurance company may request you
visit their drive-in claims center before bringing the car
to your repairer. We suggest you notify your insurance company
that you want your vehicle seen at the repair shop only. Let
the repair shop who will be repairing your vehicle negotiate
your claim with the insurance company.
