To
repair today's vehicles requires constant attention to the
changes and advancements in the automotive industry. Besides
periodic training and monthly updates to remain competitive
and knowledgeable in this field, our equipment must be cutting
edge. Our network estimating system is Pathways Estimating
Program provided by CCC Information Services. This system
is updated monthly to provide us with the most current parts
prices and vehicle databases. The system also features digital
imaging, which allows us to photo a vehicle and attach those
photos to a particular job for future reference.
At
J & B we have three frame machines that are used to straighten
the chassis of a vehicle back to its manufacturer specified
dimensions. We also own an articulating aluminum MIG welding
machine, which allows us to weld aluminum sheet metal and
aluminum frames.
An
ICI Paint and Finish System is used to duplicate a vehicles'
color and finish to the manufacturer specifications. Our paint
system is fully computerized to match every individual make
and model's color. We utilize only the highest quality products
on all our repairs from body filler to paint. Since we provide
a lifetime warranty, as long as you own your vehicle, we figure
it is in our best interest to make sure the proper materials
are used to ensure that the vehicle does not come back to
our shop due to a defect we could have prevented.
To
ensure the repairs are completed correctly the first time,
we utilize a wide array of equipment. The list below shows
some of our equipment and a brief description of why it is
used.
Spray
Booth: We have a USI Italia Eurotech Full
Down Draft Spray Booth, which enables a vehicle to be
painted in a proper environment as per manufacturer recommendations.
A spray booth also allows for baking capabilities to replicate
the original equipment manufacturer look and reliability of
the paint.
Frame
Machine:
For repairing damaged uni-body structures on aluminum frames,
we own a Henning Hansen Articulating Aluminum Welding Machine.
For repairing damaged uni-body structures on steel, we have
two Car-O-Liner frame machines and a Kansas Jack Frame
Machine.
Paint
System:
ICI Autocolor Aqua Base Paint System and ICI Autocolor
2K Finishing System is used to duplicate a vehicle's color
and factory finish. The system is fully computerized and is
updated by ICI on a periodic basis to ensure that our information
is current with the release of new vehicle colors.
Estimating
System:
For writing estimates and tracking work in progress, we use
Pathways Estimating Program by CCC Information Services.
Spot
Welders: To join structural panels without
breaking down the integrity of the panels and to maintain
the factory aesthetics, we have two Lincoln MIG spot
welders, an Aero Spot Welder, and a Pro Spot Welder.
Solvent
Recycler: J & B uses a Brad Solvent Recycler
manufactured by SRS Environment Inc. We use a large
amount of solvent in our day-to-day operations, and found
it was more environmentally friendly and economical to recycle
our solvent as opposed to disposing of it as a hazardous waste
material.
