You
have the right as a consumer to repair your vehicle at the
shop of your choice. Your insurance company can suggest, but
cannot, by law, dictate who repairs your car. J
& B Body Works is proud to be a direct repair facility for
many major insurance companies. This is how it works: Report
the claim to your insurance company and request J & B as your
shop of choice. We download an assignment through our estimating
system from your insurance company. After taking photos of
your vehicle, writing the estimate and transmitting it back
to the insurance company, we start repairing your car. We
document our work and photo our progress. When the car is
repaired, you pick it up. Sounds easy and simple? It is!
This
streamlines the whole process for our customers who are insured
with these companies for many reasons. It eliminates down
time normally associated with an insurance adjuster physically
coming to the shop to inspect your vehicle. It prevents delays
associated with supplemental damages and re-inspections. It
allows us to release cars when we are finished with the repairs,
not when you receive the insurance payment. Instead, the insurance
company pays J & B directly after you get your repaired vehicle
back.
J
& B Body Works has negotiated claims with many insurance companies
over our past twenty years in business. So if you are not
with an insurance company for whom we are a direct repair
facility, chances are we have still done business with your
company in the past. The process is similar with a few exceptions.
A field adjuster will be assigned to inspect the damages and
supplemental damages if necessary, and the payment would be
mailed to you. However, we have simplified these processes
to allow for a quicker turnover time on your repairs and quicker
payments from insurance companies.
