At J&B Body Works, we embarked on an ambitious project with a Tesla Model Y that came to us with extensive damage to its left quarter panel. As a shop certified in Tesla repairs, we were well-equipped to tackle the challenge head-on. Our first step was to meticulously repair the damage, ensuring that every aspect of the vehicle’s structure was restored to its original integrity. Following the repairs, we repainted the vehicle in its original white color, ensuring a flawless match and pristine finish.
To elevate the vehicle’s aesthetics and durability, we opted for a complete transformation with a satin black paint protection film (PPF). This wrap not only gave the Tesla a new, dynamic appearance but also provided an extra layer of protection against the elements and road debris. The matte finish added a sleek, understated elegance, setting the perfect backdrop for the custom livery that was in the works.
Anticipating the unique rally-inspired livery, we collaborated with a skilled artist known for their creative designs that resonate with automotive enthusiasts. This bespoke livery was envisioned to encapsulate a spirit of adventure and high performance, reflecting the car’s transformed persona.
In parallel with the exterior enhancements, we turned our attention to the mechanical and functional upgrades. Understanding the importance of reliable, high-performance tires for any off-road or rally-inspired vehicle, we selected Nitto Grappler Tires. These tires are renowned for their versatility, providing exceptional traction and durability across various terrains, from city streets to rugged trails.
The addition of a T Sportline bull bar not only augmented the vehicle’s visual appeal but also enhanced its practicality, offering added protection and a mounting point for auxiliary lighting. Speaking of lighting, we installed PIAA flood lights, ensuring that the Tesla would illuminate the path ahead with intensity and clarity, essential for any off-road adventure or challenging driving conditions.
Elevating the vehicle further, we incorporated a T Sportline lift kit, which not only increased the ground clearance but also improved the vehicle’s stance, making it more formidable and capable. This modification was crucial for achieving the desired rally-inspired functionality, allowing for better navigation over uneven terrain and obstacles.
The final touch was the addition of a Yakima roof rack, which not only served as a practical accessory for additional cargo space but also complemented the vehicle’s adventurous ethos. It underscored the Tesla’s readiness for exploration and adventure, whether it’s a weekend getaway or a spirited drive on backcountry roads.
This comprehensive transformation of the Tesla Model Y at J&B Body Works is a testament to our dedication to craftsmanship, attention to detail, and passion for creating vehicles that inspire and excite.
